The late Maximillian Schmeling two fights with Joe Louis transcended boxing and became worldwide social events because of their racial and national associations. Despite his supposed associations with nazism used by propaganda of both sides Max was later shown to be a hero to the Jewish people.He become World Champion in 1930 and remains a sporting legend. He helped his friend Joe Louis later in life and passed away in 2005 aged 99.This stunning presentation contains a black and white photo personally signed and dated by the boxer together with dual mounts and an inset plaque.It originates from a large collection of memorabilia displayed in a sports bar that was recently obtained by Spirit of Sport.

It has been re-framed and is presented in a tasteful thick black wood surround that measures in at 28cm by 26cm (approx).

The signature may not appear prominently on the website image but be assured it is clear and legible on the actual item. It has also been fully authenticated.A super collectable from one of the boxing legends Max Schmeling.
